All-on-X Dental Implants
Expertise, technology, and care tailored to your goals.
Full-arch implant treatment requires evaluation of bone, bite, smile design, health history, and available alternatives. Every treatment plan is individualized.
Full-arch reconstruction, individualized to you.
All-on-X describes a fixed full-arch prosthesis supported by multiple dental implants. “X” reflects that the number and positions of implants are individualized rather than a one-size-fits-all formula.

Why the implant count varies
The available bone, jaw anatomy, opposing dentition, bite forces, prosthetic space, and implant distribution help determine how many implants may be appropriate. More implants are not automatically better, and fewer are not automatically sufficient.
From diagnosis to final restoration
The process begins with a discussion of goals, a clinical examination, appropriate radiographs or CBCT imaging, and review of alternatives. Surgery and provisionalization are planned around stability and safety. The definitive prosthesis follows healing and evaluation of function and aesthetics.
When immediate teeth are not possible
Poor primary stability, bone deficiencies, infection, or other clinical factors can require staged treatment or a removable interim prosthesis. A same-day fixed smile should never be promised before assessing the patient.
Long-term responsibilities
Fixed implant restorations need routine professional reviews, careful home hygiene, and occasional prosthetic maintenance. Implants can develop inflammatory disease and restorations can require repairs or replacement.
Frequently asked questions
Is All-on-X the same as All-on-4?
All-on-4 is one configuration within the broader category of full-arch implant restorations. The appropriate number and positioning are case-specific.
Can failing teeth be saved instead?
Sometimes. A second opinion should include discussion of the prognosis and costs of preserving natural teeth when feasible.
